Program description
The program aims to develop aggregation models in the berry and vegetable sectors, which involves bringing producers together to improve the efficiency of production, storage, and marketing.
It is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with support from the European Union.
The goal is to strengthen cooperation among small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, develop post-harvest handling and processing infrastructure, and expand market access.
Main Information
Eligibility
Eligibility for participation is defined by geographic and sector-specific criteria.
Who can apply:
- agricultural producers from Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions;
- agricultural enterprises operating in the berry and vegetable sectors;
- including those cooperating with small farmers.
Financing
The program provides funding to support agricultural enterprises through infrastructure development and cooperation.
Funding scope and conditions:
- enterprises can receive up to USD 150,000 for project implementation;
- funding is provided via the State Agrarian Register (DAR);
- a mandatory co-financing contribution of 30–60% of the project cost is required, depending on the aggregator category.
Eligible funding areas:
- infrastructure development;
- modernization of post-harvest processing;
- establishment or expansion of processing facilities;
- development of logistics and cooperation with small farmers.
