Program description
The “MSME Support Programme in Kryvyi Rih District – Phase 2 (Active)” is designed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the Kryvyi Rih District through the implementation of the second phase of the grant initiative.
The programme is funded by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg through the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (LuxDev) and is implemented by the National Development Institution in cooperation with authorised banks.
Main Information
Eligibility
Entrepreneurs may apply if they meet the programme’s eligibility requirements and satisfy the established participation criteria.
Key eligibility requirements include:
- being registered no later than 1 January 2025;
- having no outstanding tax or budget-related debts;
- not being subject to bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings;
- not being subject to sanctions and not being politically exposed persons (PEPs).
The programme gives particular attention to:
- businesses operating in the communities of the Kryvyi Rih District;
- enterprises in agriculture, processing, and other sectors;
- businesses led by veterans (or their family members) and women.
Financing
The programme provides two funding components, designed for different categories of businesses.
Component I offers direct grants of up to EUR 10,000 (in the hryvnia equivalent) for microenterprises. Funding may be used for:
- purchasing new equipment and materials (Ukrainian or imported);
- repairing, reconstructing, or restoring premises damaged by the war;
- implementing energy efficiency and circular economy projects.
Component II provides grant funding for small and medium-sized enterprises combined with a beneficiary co-financing contribution:
- small businesses may receive up to EUR 50,000 (in the hryvnia equivalent) with a 20% own contribution;
- medium-sized businesses may receive up to EUR 100,000 (in the hryvnia equivalent) with a 30% own contribution.
Supported Activities
The programme supports investment projects for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises aimed at business development and recovery of business operations.
Supported activities include:
- purchasing new equipment and materials of Ukrainian or foreign origin;
- repairing, reconstructing, and restoring premises damaged as a result of the war;
- implementing projects focused on energy efficiency and the circular economy;
- investment projects of small and medium-sized enterprises eligible for partial reimbursement of investment costs.
Roadmap
Key milestones include:
- 29 July 2026 — opening of the application period for the second phase of the MSME Support Programme in the Kryvyi Rih District.
- Applications are submitted through the National Development Institution (NUR) IT platform.
- Application deadline: 17 August 2026, by 24:00.
