Program description
The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and with financial support from the Government of Norway, is launching a new program to support rural households in the Petrykivka community of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The initiative aims to develop vegetable and berry production and strengthen food security at the local level.
Main Information
Eligibility
Within the grant program, eligible participants are clearly defined:
- rural households are invited to apply;
- individual entrepreneurs engaged in agricultural activities are also eligible;
- applicants must cultivate between 0.05 and 10 hectares of agricultural land.
The program aims to support the development of vegetable and berry production and to strengthen food security at the local level.
Financing
Within the grant program, targeted financial support is provided to selected participants:
- selected participants receive vouchers worth USD 3,000 (in UAH equivalent) for the purchase of resources and equipment;
- the total program budget amounts to USD 150,000 (over UAH 6.5 million).
The program is implemented as part of a broader project with a total budget of USD 4 million, aimed at supporting rural communities in frontline regions of Ukraine and their early recovery.
Supported Activities
Within the grant program, practical activities are supported to strengthen agricultural development:
- provision of vouchers worth USD 3,000 (in UAH equivalent) for purchasing resources and equipment;
- возможность acquiring greenhouses, irrigation systems, seeds, water storage containers, and other materials;
- access to training and technical support, including climate-smart production, efficient irrigation, soil management, and business planning.
How to Apply
The application process for the grant program is carried out through the State Agrarian Register (SAR) and includes several steps:
- participation is available only for registered SAR users;
- applications can be submitted from 10 to 22 April 2026.
Step-by-step process:
- visit dar.gov.ua and select “Log in to the account”;
- register or log in using a qualified electronic signature (QES) or BankID;
- enter email and phone number, then verify them with a code;
- click “Register” to complete account creation;
- after logging in, fill in required sections: activities, personal data, and bank details;
- verify information about land plots and (if applicable) livestock;
- submit the application through the SAR system.
Evaluation Criteria
Recipients of assistance will be selected based on their socioeconomic vulnerability and development potential.
