Program description

The program is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with financial support from the German government. The initiative aims to support small farmers in the Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The program is designed to help restore and strengthen the livelihoods of rural households and small-scale agricultural producers.

Eligibility

The programme is open to farmers, sole proprietors, and legal entities that meet the programme’s eligibility requirements.

Key criteria include:

  • The applicant must be registered in the State Agrarian Register (SAR).
  • The farm must cultivate between 10 and 150 hectares of officially registered agricultural land.
  • The agricultural land must be located in the Chernihiv or Dnipropetrovsk regions.
  • Only one application may be submitted by each legal entity or sole proprietor.
  • Owners of multiple farms may receive only one voucher under the programme.
  • Agricultural producers who have already received similar FAO support in 2026 are not eligible to apply again.

Financing

The programme provides financial support to agricultural producers through a voucher-based mechanism. The value of each voucher is USD 2,000 in the hryvnia equivalent.

1. Register or log in to the State Agrarian Register (SAR).
2. Verify and update farm information.
3. Select the FAO support programme for farmers in Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
4. Complete the application and confirm eligibility.
5. Submit the application through SAR before the deadline.
6. Await verification and selection results.

Evaluation Criteria

Priority will be given to women-led farming households.

This preference reflects their role in maintaining agricultural production, employment, and economic activity within rural communities.

Applications will be reviewed in line with the programme’s established support priorities.
