Program description

Youthquake is a business incubator for young people where teams move from an idea to a real project. Participants work on their own ideas, test them in practice, develop a product and receive support from mentors and experts.

The programme includes 1,000 participants, 320 teams across Ukraine, 3 months of training, 10 educational modules, and the development of business plans or MVPs. As a result, 40 teams receive funding.

Eligibility

- School students aged 13–17
- University students aged 18–25
- Team members may be older than the specified age
- Maximum 3 participants per team
- Team members may come from different cities and regions of Ukraine
- School and university students cannot form one joint team.

Financing

National grant support:

- UAH 207,500 – for 10 GreenTech teams
- UAH 250,000 – for 4 school teams
- UAH 500,000 – for 4 student teams
- UAH 500,000 and UAH 1,500,000 – for Grand Demo Day superfinalists

Additional support for teams from Lviv:

- UAH 200,000 – for 20 teams

Taxes and fees will be withheld from the stated financial support amounts in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.

How to Apply

1. Form a team.
2. Define the idea/project.
3. Prepare contact details of all team members.
4. School students prepare a motivation letter.
5. University students prepare a project pitch deck.
6. Complete the online application on behalf of the team. The application is submitted by an adult.

Evaluation Criteria

An expert team evaluates applications according to defined selection criteria:

-Clarity and relevance of the problem
-Quality and innovation of the solution
-Understanding of the target audience and its needs
-Business potential and viability of the project

During the interim pitching, teams present their projects and results; finalists for the Grand Demo Day are selected based on the pitching results.

At the final stage, business plans or MVPs are evaluated by a jury.

FAQ

The programme lasts 3 months. Participants are recommended to spend at least 5–8 hours per week on the project.
