Eligibility

Within the grant program, eligibility is open to operating micro and small businesses that meet specific criteria.

Key requirements:

  • the business must be officially registered;
  • operate at a distance of more than 20 km from the frontline;
  • must not have received grants from other NGOs in the last 6 months;
  • must have no debts or criminal/corruption-related risks.

Financing

Within the grant program, funding is allocated based on the scale of business operations. The grant amount depends on the business stage and employment status (amounts include taxes).

Funding categories:

  • up to USD 5,000 — for businesses operating independently or with employees but not planning to hire;
  • up to USD 7,500 — for businesses operating independently and required to employ at least one person;
  • up to USD 10,000 — for businesses that already have one or more employees and must employ at least one person.

Supported Activities

The grant program supports activities aimed exclusively at business recovery and development, contributing to a stable source of income.

Supported activities:

  • restoration of damaged or lost business assets;
  • purchase of equipment, tools, and technical resources;
  • procurement of raw materials (up to 10% of the grant);
  • staff training and capacity building (up to 10%);
  • marketing and advertising (up to 10%);
  • partial renovation of premises;
  • other costs directly related to project implementation;
  • salaries for newly hired employees (up to 5 months).

Non-eligible expenses:

  • purchase of land, real estate, vehicles, or debt repayment;
  • rent and capital repairs;
  • salaries of existing employees and related taxes;
  • military or surveillance equipment;
  • hazardous materials;
  • environmentally harmful activities;
  • costs incurred before the grant is awarded are not reimbursed.

The grant program follows a structured project roadmap, covering all key stages from application submission to reporting.

Main stages:

  1. Application and document submission — participants submit required materials.
  2. Application review — initial evaluation of submitted proposals.
  3. Application verification — checking compliance and accuracy.
  4. Selection of winners — identifying projects to receive funding.
  5. Contract signing and fund disbursement — formalizing agreements and transferring funds.
  6. Monitoring and reporting — overseeing project implementation and reporting results.

Evaluation Criteria

Within the grant program, priority is given during evaluation to certain categories of businesses with higher social relevance.

In particular, preference is given to businesses:

  • led by veterans and their family members;
  • led by women;
  • led by internally displaced persons (IDPs);
  • led by persons with disabilities;
  • relocated businesses or those affected by war-related damage.
