Funding for the use of cloud technologies and AI

The grant initiative is implemented through the Ukrainian Startup Fund joining the global Microsoft for Startups Investor Network.

Key features:

• Ukrainian IT projects can receive Microsoft Azure credits.
• The initiative is part of the WINWIN Innovation Strategy implementation.
• The program provides access to Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure.

Expected opportunities:

• More efficient product launches.
• Optimization of technology costs.
• Scaling solutions to international markets.

The program is open to startups at stages from pre-seed to Series A that meet the following conditions:

• Develop their own IT product, which is the core of their business;
• Are a private commercial company (not consulting, not government, and not crypto mining);
• Have not previously raised investments at Series C stage or higher;
• Have received less than $350,000 in total Azure credits to date.

Through this partnership, Ukrainian startups can secure up to $150,000 in credits for using Microsoft Azure services. 

Within the grant program, credits are provided as virtual funds to pay for Microsoft technologies, helping companies reduce their own expenses.

Supported activities:

• Building and scaling cloud infrastructure.
• Storage and processing of large data sets.
• Integration of AI and machine learning solutions into products.
• Testing developments and preparing for entry into global markets.

Additional note:

• Using credits allows companies to allocate their own budget to other needs (team, marketing, product development).

The application process within the grant program is straightforward and includes an initial eligibility check.

• Verify whether the startup meets the program requirements.
• Complete a short online form via the provided link.
• After submission, access to Microsoft credits can be obtained.

The initiative with Microsoft is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Startup Fund as part of Ukraine’s Digital Innovation Development Strategy 2030 (WINWIN).
