Program description

The "Support for Veteran Reintegration in Ukraine" program is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Danish Red Cross and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The main goal of the initiative is to help veterans (both male and female) and their families successfully return to civilian life, strengthen family financial stability, and create new opportunities for professional and entrepreneurial development.

The key areas of the program include supporting independent businesses and self-employment, creating new veteran businesses, developing social entrepreneurship, and strengthening the economic resilience of veteran families and social cohesion in communities. The project operates in Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv oblasts from September 2026 to August 2028.

Program participants have the opportunity to complete a comprehensive training program in partnership with MIM-Kiev, receive mentoring support from experienced entrepreneurs and experts to prepare a business plan, and utilize an online academy and networking opportunities. Based on the training results and the presentation of business ideas, the committee identifies the best projects, which receive micro-grants for the development, restoration, or scaling of their business in the amount of up to EUR 3,000.
