Program description
The project aims to develop women's entrepreneurship by supporting IDP women and local female residents of the Chernihiv region, promoting their economic empowerment and encouraging them to start their own businesses. The program includes training in a business school (business creation, marketing, psychological resilience), after which participants will defend their projects. Based on the selection results, the 50 best graduates will receive a microgrant of at least $1,500 for their own business. The project is implemented by the NGO "Eleos-Ukraine" in partnership with International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC-Ukraine) and with the financial support of UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief).
Main Information
Eligibility
- Women aged 18 to 50+.
- IDP women and local female residents living in the Chernihiv region.
- Participants with existing skills and previous experience in business creation / existing microbusiness.
- Participants who feel entrepreneurial potential or have expressed interest in starting or expanding their own business.
- Sufficient motivation and guaranteed participation in all training classes for 2.5 months.
Supported Activities
- Training in a business school (business creation, project writing, marketing, psychological resilience).
- Group and individual consultations during project writing.
- Receiving a microgrant for entrepreneurial development.
- 3 months of consultations with a business lawyer and an HR consultant.
Roadmap
- The training will last for 2.5 months (classes once a week for 7 weeks, full day).
- Immediately after the training, the defense and selection of the best projects will take place.
