Program description
The competition aims to support the creation and launch of practical childcare solutions that take into account the needs of parents, businesses, and communities. Pilot models that promote women’s participation in economic activity and create conditions for combining work and childcare are supported.
The initiative is implemented within the framework of a project supporting economic recovery and gender equality.
Main Information
Eligibility
The grant program is open to organizations and partnerships operating or planning to operate in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine.
Eligible participants include:
- employers and businesses interested in employee return and team stability;
- territorial communities seeking practical recovery solutions;
- preschool education institutions and other childcare service providers ready to cooperate with businesses.
Priority is given to initiatives focused on recovery, employment support, and the development of partnerships between communities, businesses, and social service providers.
Financing
Within the framework of the grant program, funding of up to USD 20,000 is available per project.
Grant funding may be used for:
- facility arrangement and improvement;
- purchase of equipment;
- procurement of furniture and materials;
- coverage of startup costs.
Supported Activities
Within the framework of the grant program, support is provided for pilot projects aimed at creating or developing childcare services.
Supported activities include:
- expert support at all stages, from idea development to project launch;
- development of a 5-year sustainability plan;
- assistance in building partnerships between businesses and communities;
- staff training and консультаційний support;
- 6 months of post-launch support;
- participation in shaping scalable national solution models.
The initiative is focused on addressing access to childcare services as a key factor for helping parents return to work and supporting economic recovery.
Roadmap
The application deadline is May 30, 2026.
A short informational webinar for potential applicants will also be held on May 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The event is intended to help participants better prepare their grant applications.
