Program description
Rebuild 2 is an educational and grant programme for micro and small businesses in Kyiv region. The programme helps participants start, restore and develop their own businesses through free practical training, mentoring and psychological support. Participants work on their own business project throughout the programme, from an idea to a ready solution. 90 participants take part in a three-month programme consisting of four educational modules. Following evaluation and the final pitching, 20 participants will receive equipment or goods worth up to EUR 4,000 after taxation. The programme is implemented by the Diia.Business Entrepreneurs Support Centre in Bucha with financial support from BMZ and Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH), with the assistance of ASB Ukraine.
Main Information
Eligibility
90 participants from Kyiv region who want to start, restore or scale their own business may participate. The programme is open to beginners, experienced entrepreneurs, veterans, IDPs and women starting or developing their own business.
Financing
Winners will receive not a cash payment, but equipment or goods worth up to 4,000 euros after taxes, necessary for developing or scaling their business.
A participant applying for a grant under the Project may not submit cost estimates
for the following goods/equipment:
● products, equipment manufactured in or originating from the Russian Federation, the Republic
of Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria;
● products, equipment manufactured by Huawei Technologies Company, ZTE Corporation, or Hytera
Communications Corporation;
● military equipment;
● explosives and pyrotechnics (fireworks, firecrackers, detonators, etc.);
● surveillance equipment;
● goods and services intended to support police or other law enforcement
activities;
● services and equipment for the artificial termination of pregnancy;
● luxury goods and gambling equipment;
● pesticides and agrochemicals;
● tobacco products and e-cigarettes;
● alcoholic beverages and narcotic substances;
● counterfeit products (fake goods, goods that infringe on copyright
or intellectual property rights)

Evaluation Criteria
For “Business Beginner”: business idea description and motivation letter; the motivation letter is one of the key selection criteria. For “Experienced Entrepreneur”: digital maturity assessment and motivation letter. Women entrepreneurs, IDPs, veterans and their family members receive additional points.
