Program description
A “Right to Business” training course is offered for people currently living in the Makariv, Bucha, and Irpin communities of Kyiv Oblast. The program aims to strengthen the economic resilience of people affected by the war. The goal is to support entrepreneurship by helping participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to start and effectively run their own business. The course provides practical tools to launch and develop one’s business.
Main Information
Eligibility
Eligible are people currently living in the Makariv, Bucha, and Irpin communities of Kyiv Oblast, who run a small business or have suspended entrepreneurial activity and closed their sole proprietorship due to the full-scale invasion; or those preparing to start a business and/or operating and planning to register as a sole proprietor, and who meet one or more criteria:
- internally displaced persons;
- affected by hostilities (home damaged/lost, job lost, business damaged due to attacks, entrepreneurial activity suspended during the period from 24.02.2022);
- belong to vulnerable population categories (including people with disabilities; defense veterans; family members of a fallen defense veteran; family members of a defense veteran; parents raising a child with a disability; parents of many children; women raising children alone; women who are heads of households);
- veterans or family members of veterans, including veterans with disabilities;
- aged 50–65 (before retirement age).
Financing
After completing the training, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a competition for targeted charitable assistance — up to €2,500 for developing their own business (before tax).
Supported Activities
- Group offline training in a safe place once a week.
- Development of a business plan with specialists’ recommendations.
- Participation (after training) in a competition for targeted charitable assistance up to €2,500 for business development (before taxation).
Roadmap
- Start: February 2026.
- Duration: until the end of April 2026.
- Selection results communicated by February 12.
- By the end of February, Right to Protection Charitable Foundation will process all applications and select 45 participants to be invited for an interview for the training.
