Program description
The program was created to support citizens, civil society activists (CSOs), and independent media affected by the war.
The program aims to ensure the uninterrupted operation of organizations, preserve human, organizational, and technical capacity, and promote the resilience of Ukrainian society by supporting the media, assisting vulnerable groups, and involving civil society in the country's recovery planning.
Main Information
Eligibility
Civil society organizations (CSOs) and independent media legally registered in Ukraine, based or displaced within Ukraine, or operating from Ukraine are eligible to participate; local partners may be involved.
Financing
Social, legal, psychological services; mental health, assistance to staff and volunteers.
Temporary/immediate/emergency relocation, transportation, temporary housing, seasonal equipment.
Digital support: purchase/replacement of equipment; data storage/protection systems.
Office rent, utilities, communications; communication and operational costs for organizations/media.
Salaries for the core team of organizations (but limited to 40% of the total budget).
Media equipment: laptops, cameras, microphones, etc.
Media content creation: reporting, fact-checking, content for new audiences, monitoring of disinformation.
Educational and youth initiatives: youth organizations, community initiatives, projects on reconstruction, national memory, identity, participation in reconstruction.
Safety measures, training: safety, first aid, survival in war/conflict zones; safety training for media/NGOs.
Supported Activities
Provision of social, psychological, and legal services; support for staff and volunteers.
Temporary or emergency relocation/resettlement, provision of housing/transportation.
Digital support: purchase/replacement of equipment, data protection.
Support for the operational activities of media and civil society organizations: rent, utilities, communications, salaries (up to 40%).
Creation of media content, journalism and fact-checking projects, reporting, work with the media, media security, combating disinformation.
Youth and educational initiatives, public and youth organizations, projects on reconstruction, national memory, community participation.
Safety training, first aid, safety training for war/conflict zones.
