Briefly
Program description
This initiative is aimed at improving industrial and market readiness to meet cybersecurity requirements for small and medium-sized enterprises, as provided by relevant EU cybersecurity legislation.
Expected result:
Development of a cyber toolkit as a service to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in cyber risk management, defining and implementing their cybersecurity strategy. The toolkit may include at least one of the following components:
- Interfaces that connect to existing SaaS applications, such as human resources (HR) management systems, billing and financial accounting, CRM and accounting systems, etc., which SMEs often use to enhance cybersecurity levels.
- Functionality that provides visualization and support for SME digital assets and possible vulnerabilities through interaction with other SaaS applications managing asset inventory and data repositories.
- A function that supports assessment and management of SME cyber risks, as well as supply chain risks. It should conduct risk assessments, provide risk mitigation recommendations and identify possible action options.
- An interface to existing tools that support analysis and assessment of SME cyber risk level based on information obtained from digital infrastructure scanning and data provided by authorized users.
- A function that issues alerts about vulnerabilities and threats based on information collected by the risk management function.
- A function that connects SMEs with a CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) or cyber hub for incident reporting and, where possible, recovery assistance.
- A map and single window / portal for accessing existing tools and solutions that support SMEs in cybersecurity.
- Tools that support detection, prevention and response in operational technology (OT) infrastructures using open standards or technologies.
